Although Larissa has always had a love for makeup, she has been working as a professional makeup artist for 6 years. She owes a lot to the talented artist, Jerri Calenda at M.A.C. with whom she worked with for all her encouragement and inspiration.
Larissa's work ranges from runway shows, print, on-camera, weddings, and general makeup applications. Larissa is continuously broadening her craft by taking advanced courses and one-on-one sessions with the makeup industries finest. She has also been trained by Kett Cosmetics in airbrush makeup artistry. With that skill she is now able to offer clients the ability to cover tattoos and provide a flawless finish for that special wedding day, photo shoot, or on-air appearance.
In 2007 Larissa was hired as the makeup artist for the filming of a national public service announcement featuring Jim Craig, the goalie for the 1980’s U.S. Olympic Miracle Team. In 2008 Larissa was contracted as the makeup artist for New Bedford Festival Theatre’s performance of Les Miserables and the 2009 performance of The Producers. You can also find some of Larissa’s recent bridal work showcased in the 2008 edition of Southern New England Weddings magazine. Her work is also displayed in various catalogs and web pages for Brahmin Handbags.
Her belief is that makeup is designed to enhance one's natural beauty by focusing on everyone's individual and special traits.
